Super Bowl Half Time Show — I Can’t Take It Anymore

My name is Katy and I am a Justin Timberlake fan.

0052

Going strong 20 years now, and honestly, I don’t care whether you are or not. I wasn’t going to comment on his Halftime Show from last night’s Super Bowl but then I thought of two things. One, this is my blog and my outlet to share MY opinions and what I LOVE, and if you know me, you know the love I have for JT is unconditional & never ending. Two, I’m tired of seeing all the hate on social media he got for the performance, so I’m here to defend defend defend!

Before we get into the actual performance, let’s just realize we live in a world right now where no one can do right (which I totally get is the pot calling the kettle black because majority of my blog is me complaining about actors or making fun of reality stars, but whatever I’m getting cheese fries). Timberlake got hate as soon as it was announced he was performing, especially from Janet Jackson fans, but come onnnnnnnnnnnnnn! I take a firm stance that his 2004 SB performance with her (#nipplegate) was completely planned and if you think for a second that it was a “wardrobe malfunction” then …

Image result for kristen taekman you're delusional

UGH and the #JanetJacksonAppreciateDay trending on Twitter?? Again I say, come onnnnnnnnn! Anyway, people were going to go in on him from the beginning no matter what, so he had quite a bit to prove.

IMG_0119

Not everyone was rooting against him though. Lady Gaga (who is a QUEEN) tweeted out support for him before the performance, wishing him luck, as did Jimmy Fallon. So let’s get into the actual performance and see why he succeeded when so many said he failed.

First, the audio. People were saying it was fuzzy; I didn’t hear fuzz, but I’m sure if people instead heard total clarity, they’d have then said he sang poorly live. Second, the Prince tribute. People were saying it was inappropriate and more; yet if he hadn’t done one, people would have been upset. Last, singing Rock Your Body (aka the #nipplegate song); it’s one of his biggest dance hits, and to those people saying he smirked right at the “Janet Line” you’re reaching so far your arms HAVE TO be tired! Seriously, watch the footage.

I have seen Justin Timberlake in concert and let me tell you, last night’s show was IT. That was a straight thirteen minute Justin Timberlake concert. Just like at one of his shows, he’s dancing and singing, and straight PERFORMING his heart out,  fusing songs together, singing all your favorites, plus moving all over the arena! He did the same thing last night. From starting underneath the stadium, then waltzing down onto the field to the main stage, then having a center stage where he could perform from any side of it, to straight dancing on the field, to performing with a marching band (which we’ll get to in a minute) to straight dancing into the crowd! Sheesh, I’m just tired describing it all! But at an actual Timberlake concert, it’s two hours of all that (and no one is rooting for him to fail).

Image result for justin timberlake gif
I promise I’m almost done ranting, but I want to discuss my favorite part of the whole show (and it wasn’t changing one middle schooler’s life by taking a selfie with him, but props for JT for doing it!) THAT! MARCHING! BAND! during Suit & Tie! Did anyone catch the football reference?

Image result for marching band super bowl 52 halftime show

Get it? Halftime of a football game and a marching band is performing? Also, raise your hand if you knew that was the actual University of Minnesota marching band? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Image result for marching band super bowl 52 halftime show

Well, if you’ve made it this far through the post, maybe I’ve started to convince you that his performance was outstanding and deserves credit, not criticism. If not, maybe these famous voices can help sway you because JT SLAYED AND KILLED SUPER BOWL LII!

“And the actor goes to …” 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards Recap (Pocket-Sized)

“We are living in a watershed moment in time and as we march forward with active momentum and open ears, let’s make sure we are leading the charge with empathy and diligence, because fear and anger never win the race.” — Kristen Bell, 2018 SAG Awards Host

Image result for kristen bell gif

Ahh yes, another award show where actors toot their own horns by giving awards out to one another. However, here I am watching, but if I must watch, then I must critique! Don’t worry though, my critiques won’t be too tiresome; this is only a small batch, pocket-sized post! First up is Kristen Bell. She’s quoted above because she hosted the award show and was actually the show’s first ever host.  I just love love love love, love her so much. For all her great moments from the show, click here!

What I Learned

The thing I like most about the SAG Awards is it’s actors recognizing and awarding actors, which has to be a huge compliment right? I can only imagine if I went to an award ceremony for teachers, with the awards being presented by fellow teachers. That would have to be an extremely large pill to swallow because teachers do not like to credit other teachers (not all, some, okay most, hopefully I’m not offending all my teacher readers right now; please don’t leave). But it’s easier, probably in any profession, to celebrate one’s own acheivements, rather than recognize others.

Image result for toot my own horn gif

“My students scored this score on the state test” or “Look at this wonderful email a parent sent me telling me what a great job I do.” I’m sure actors are the same: “My movie made this much money” or “Look at the great review my movie received.” So, I would imagine winning an SAG Award is a big deal because people who usually want to brag on themselves this time want to brag on you!

Image result for sag award winners

Shout out to some of my favs on winning: This Is Us, Sterling K. Brown, Claire Foy, and Nicole Kidman!

What I Loved

Mother, freaking, girl power. I knew that Bell being the first ever host as a woman was a huge deal, and I knew the show was branded as “female-powered.” But, it wasn’t until the next day I realized, “Oh wow, only females presented!” It was really awesome to see; read more here!

What I Remembered

Still disappointed in myself as I have yet to see any of the films nominated this awards season; I’m such a failure.

Fashion

I guess the “let’s all wear black” protest was over because there were many hues to found on the SAG red carpet. My picks for best dressed went to Kristen Bell (her red carpet look; she had quite a few wardrobe changes as host’s normally do, but actually looked amazing in all of them!), Nicole Kidman, Samara Weaving, and Yara Shahidi (pantsuit with a train for the WIN!)

Image-1 (1).png

My favorite looks of the night!

I really hate to have a worst dressed list because I get it, “fashion is art” and shit but low and behold here they are. Millie, you may be thirteen, but you can’t wear your Chucks to an award show; sorry, you can’t. I don’t even have to explain why I hate Kate’s dress, I mean you have eyes right? Same with Kate Nash. Maybe it was an off night for girls named Kate. Ugh, and Lupita almost made my list for best dressed until the camera panned down to the bottom of her dress. #nope (Her body looked sick though!)

img_0090-e1516676233809.png

Sorry ladies, not my favorite.

Lastly, why was Morgan Freeman wearing a hat?!

Moving Forward.

We have Oscar nominations tomorrow and the Grammys on Sunday! I love awards season!

Pocket-Sized Post: T. Swift Endgame Video

Endgame by Taylor Swift feat. Future & Ed Sheeran

Welcome to the first “Pocket-Sized Post” on My Hollywood Hangover! Basically this just means I’m too lazy to write a drawn out post regarding my topic, and let’s be honest, some of you aren’t here to read a full post either.

On the first small batch edition, we’ll be discussing Taylor’s new video. “Endgame” was initially my favorite song on Reputation so I was totes excited for the new video. (For more thoughts on the album click here: …Ready For It? Reputation Review)! From Miami, to Tokyo, to London, here are a few things I learned from the video:

Taylor drinks now.

Image result for endgame music video

I get it; she’s 28 and MORE than old enough to have a few drinks. Plus she mentions drinking and whisky on the new album. But, won’t she always seem like the sweet, young, innocent Taylor to us all? But the video does seem like she’s shoving the fact that she enjoys a cocktail down our throats, like “Heeeey! Look at me! I’m all grown up!”

At the same time, she’s almost 30, so do you girl!

Katy Perry was not there.

But was totes rumored to be in the video, right … to prove they mended things? Did I just not catch her? If reports come out later that Katy is in the video, just hidden somewhere I’ll be pissed because I was searching hard for her.

Taylor wears a nude lip.

Yet she’s wearing it AT THE EXACT MOMENT THE SONG IS QUOTING “the proof from [her] red lips.”

Image result for endgame music video

She rocks many different hair styles.

See above gif. LOVE LOVE LOVE the straightened, deep part, look. And as always, Taylor looks awesome with her hair styled any way … except when it looks drowned … as in her scenes with Future.

Overall … I liked it.

Keep giving us something to talk about Taylor girl!

75 Years of the Golden Globes!!

Before reading, please go check out the updated About Me Page — it’s SO 2018!

You. Guys. The Golden Globe Awards were basically the inspiration behind MHH. Okay, the Golden Globe Awards AND housewife reunions, but what I mean in this is I LIVE for the award show! It’s my very favorite time of the year and why wouldn’t it be the best award show? Not only do these awards support BOTH film and television, but the GG aren’t as stuffy as the Oscars but not as eccentric as the Grammys. PLUS, all the celebrities get endless bottles of champagne.

First, the Awards:

Best Actor TV Drama:
Sterling K. Brown! His role as Randall is not only one of my favorites, Sterling is one of my favorites simply as a person. Seriously look up any interview he’s done; he’s a great human!

Best TV Series Drama:
I watch four out of five of these shows. Yet, the award goes to the one show I don’t watch. (roll eye emoji) I knoooow the premise of The Handmaid’s Tale is important in this time in our world and is also entertaining, but why couldn’t one of the other four win?

Best Actor & Best Actress Drama:
Gary Oldman and Frances McDormand winning these awards makes me want to see these two films that. much. more!

At the end of the day, congratulations goes out to ALL the winners!!

Second, the Flims:

I haven’t seen one movie nominated this year (I know, very unlike me); it’s probably because I watch so much television. However, my goal for the next two months is to see all the films nominated. I did want to just quickly comment on them based off the short clips shown on the Golden Globes.

Image result for films nominated for golden globes 2018
The Greatest Showman — I love musicals and I loved Hugh Jackman in Les Mis! Jackie and Claudia Oshry (my Morning Breath girls) say you HAVE to see this film!
The Post: — I love Hanks, Streep, & Spielberg, plus a good historical drama. I really want to see this film.
The Disaster Artist — So this is a true story? Wow this looks like the craziest role I’ve seen of Franco. I’m so intrigued by this; need to see.
The Shape of Water — My first thought, weeks back, on this film was, “Too weird!” But I’m intrigued seeing as it’s set in the past, plus is giving me major Stranger Things vibes.
I, Tonya — WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS YET, DAMNIT?!
Dunkirk — I originally wanted to see this for the same reason I’m sure you wanted to: Harry Styles. But, as I mentioned above, I enjoy historical films so yes I’ll be watching this.
Get Out — Oh, I guess I did see one nominated film and this is it! Get Out is so so so so so so complex, intriguing, thrilling, shocking, and good!
Lady Bird — One of my good friends can not say enough good things about this movie, so okay, T … I’ll check it out just for you!
Call Me By Your Name — Literally have never heard of this movie. Have you?
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri — Intriguing. Want to see.

Third, the Fashion:

Unless you were living under a rock watching the Golden Globes, you should have noticed all the black on the Red Carpet. This was part of the Time’s Up Movement and I thought it was really cool that Hollywood came together for it in the way they did.

Image result for golden globes 2018 red carpet

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake got my vote for Best Dressed Couple (& no it’s not just because I’m obsessed with the both of them). The interviews they gave on the Red Carpet were so amazingly supportive of one another; they should be an inspiration to all Hollywood couples!

Viola Davis’s hair and necklace!

Overall, my favorite fashion moments go to Kerry Washington, Margot Robbie, Claire Foy, and Catherine Zeta-Jones

And finally, Final Thoughts:

  • “When my cheek is against yours everything else melts away and that is love” — Nicole to Keith; so sweet!
  • Allison Jennings recognizing Tonya Harding; so awkward (Tonha plotted to break her opponent’s knees!)
  • James Franco pushing Tommy Wiseau out of the way while giving his speech; so funny!
  • Almost every acceptance speech; so typical (ahem ahem preachy)!
  • Halle Berry’s long hair; so not here for it!
  • Oprah; I so miss her show! It was my favorite thing to watch everyday after school!
  • Oprah 2020!!!!
  • “It’s taken 25 years, give me a minute!” Yasss Guillermo del Toro!!
  • Looks like I really need to see Lady Bird!
  • Barbra for VP in 2020!

Once again, it was fun watching and tweeting the Globes. But this year, MHH was here to spread the Golden Globe love further! I’m off to watch some films before The Oscars! Until next time!

…Ready For It? Reputation Review

Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album has been out almost a month and just became available to stream.

While I hadn’t planned on reviewing it on the blog, the more I listen to it, the more I can’t stop talking or thinking about it. So, “baby let the games begin…”

  • …Ready For It?

Perfect song to open the album. Perfect song to dance to while getting ready for a night out. This song just screams “Chapter 1” of something bigger to come (whether that’s the rest of these songs or a fun night out you’ll talk about for years), “…Ready For It?” just starts it (whatever it is) off right!

  • End Game

This. Is. My. Favorite. Song. On. The. Entire. Album! for so many reasons. I love that Future & Ed are on it; they have such an opposite sound which brings for two interesting voices into one song. Not only that but the song just makes. me. dance! It hits you like BANG!

  • I Did Something Bad

I want to see Tay Tay perform this song with a marching band playing in the background; can’t you see it during the chorus? This is a song I classify as a “banger” and keeps the momentum going after “End Game.” Brilliant lyric moment: “They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one/so light me up!” #byehaters

  • Don’t Blame Me

This is probably my second favorite song on the album. Lyrically, I love it, especially the chorus because it’s exactly how I feel about my husband. It also makes you want to just body roll, body roll, body roll all down the hall. Cut to about 3:05 into the song: TAYLOR’S VOICE IS COMPLETE FIRE!

  • Delicate

One of my favorite lines from the whole album: “We can’t make any promises now can we babe, but you can make me a drink.”

  • Look What You Made Me Do

While I am IN LOVE with this music video, “Look What You Made Me Do” is getting to feel like “Shake It Off.” I’ll listen to it if it’s on, I’ll sing to it, and it can get me to dance; however, it’s been overplayed to the point that I’d rather listen to something else on the album first.

Image result for look what you made me do gif

  • So It Goes…

Honestly haven’t listened to this song more than once due to the fact that I have so many other favorites … what are YOUR thoughts here?

  • Gorgeous

First, royalty is on this track in the form of Blake Lively & Ryan Reynold’s daughter at the beginning. I love Taylor’s voice on this song; it’s super fun to sing to.

  • Getaway Car

I know this song is A LOT of people’s favorite, however, not a favorite for me. I definitely don’t hate it; it’s just not one of my favorites.

  • King of My Heart

I lump this song in with “So It Goes…” and “Getaway Car.” I don’t listen to it much because I love the others more; though I don’t particularly hate it or love it. It will probably be one of those songs I’ll discover months later and wonder why I didn’t love it from the beginning. The beat is unique though and I really like where the song goes around 2:34.

  • Dancing With Our Hands Tied

Third favorite song to dance to after “End Game” and “I Did Something Bad.” It proves that the album isn’t even close to being over yet.

  • Dress

What does your mother say about these lyrics Taylor?

  • This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

There is SO much I love about this song: analyzing who it’s about, the champagne and Gatsby references, the distinctive beat, the chanty chorus, her toast to her ‘real’ friends/her baby/her mama, and lastly, her scary cackle when discussing forgiveness.

  • Call It What You Want

Of all the early releases, this was my favorite. The “my baby’s fit like a daydream/walking with his head down/I’m the one he’s walking to” line is so catchy. Plus I appreciate her honesty regarding hiding away and the intensity of her relationship … call all of that what you want haters; the new Taylor tells us she could care less.

  • New Year’s Day

Anyone catch Swifty play this song acoustically during a Scandal episode? That is where I first fell in love with it. I am SO curious to know who this song is about; I’m sure there is some article somewhere with hard evidence of who it is (someone find that for me please). It’s a perfect ending to the album; soft, light, feathery.

Image result for new year's day taylor swift gif

The MHH reviews are in! This is my favorite Taylor album of them all!

Each song is better than the previous. Each song is different, a jam, and fun to not only dance to but analyze. If I had to criticize something, it’s the fact that I don’t hear much of a “girl power” message. I hear a lot of how she’s obsessed with her relationship, and was completely burned by people. Where is the message to tell all your fans who adore you to be strong, forget what others say about you, and stand on your own two feet without a man? She’s a bit, “I got a boy, I got a boy, look at how great my boy is, oh, and people were mean to me.”

Before I start getting all the TS hate mail, I’ll be the first to admit that I 100% relate to the fact that I would put out the exact same message Taylor did with this album; I would write about nothing but how great the person I’m with is, and how horrible everyone else treated me. So as the song goes, I don’t blame her.

I can’t write an honest review without playing devil’s advocate a bit, but real talk I FREAKING LOVE THIS ALBUM …maybe even more than Spencer Pratt …

And if not, I’m at least a close second.

Can we please talk about Lady Gaga?

So this was Lady Gaga last night…

IMG_6135

Then there was me last night…

IMG_6133

However I felt more like this …

Image result for gaga dancing gif

Last night I heard an angel sing and watched a bad bitch dance her ass off; both entertained the hell out of my husband and I.

IMG_6124

Lady Gaga sang all her hits, plus many songs off the Joanne album! She had four different stages and mini-bridges that would drop from the ceiling so she could get from the front of the arena to the near back. She sang EVERYTHING live and sounded AMAZING! She was honest and real and open, speaking about meaning behind her songs. At one point, when she was describing the song “Joanne” and discussing loved ones and lost, the girl next to me started crying. REAL EMOTION WAS SHED AT THIS SHOW FRIENDS! Oh my gosh, and the people watching … !!

lady_gaga_superfans.jpg

However, I’m not here with this post to brag that I got to see Lady Gaga in concert and you didn’t. (Maybe a little.) Mostly, I want to discuss her Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, which I saved to watch until after we went to see her (hence why the doc has been out since September and I’m just now covering it).

Heeeeeeeeere we go (a-yo a-yo ..get it?)!

ff-gaga-mini-21rv03.JPG

“All my insecurities are gone, I don’t feel insecure about who am I as a woman. I’m not embarrassed or ashamed of what I have.”

“…when they wanted me to be sexy or they wanted me to be pop I always put some fucking absurd spin on it that made me feel like I was still in control …”

“If I’m gonna be sexy at the VMAs singing about the paparazzi I’m gonna do it while cleaning the bathroom and reminding you of what fame did to Marilyn Monroe.”

“I want to do the opposite of what everyone thinks I’m going to do …”

“Everyone thinks I’m going to come out there on a fucking throne in a meat dress with 90 shirtless men and unicorns. Am I right? And then at the end I’m gonna do something shocking that’s gonna freak everybody out. But it’s not even in the neighborhood of what we’re gonna do.”

“Honestly we’ve seen me fucking glamorous for 10 years; it’s fucking boring.”

“I never felt comfortable enough to sing or wear my hair back; I never felt pretty enough or smart enough or a good enough musician. That’s the good part: I didn’t feel good enough, and I do now. Of all the things I deserve, that’s where I know I’m worth something.”

Joanne

Gaga’s Joanne album is one of my all-time favorite records, not favorite Gaga, favorite of ALL time. I love every single song and had no idea a majority of this doc was a behind the scenes of the album’s birth: like, did you know she is the one playing the piano on “A Million Reasons” (while she also drank white wine #mygirl!)? There are also scenes with her and Florence Welch singing their duet from the album (or when Flo teases Gaga about her millions of social media followers!), intimate scenes with her, her dad, and grandmother where she shares her inspiration for not only “Joanne” as a song, but the entire album. Of the album she said, “I’m going to fight like fucking hell for them to love this because it’s fucking loveable!” OMG and the scene when she goes to Wal-Mart to purchase her own album …

maxresdefault.jpg

Hip Pain

So I knew Gaga had cancelled some shows on her tour this year due to immense pain, but I honestly had no idea what that fully meant. She holds none of it back when sharing it and I legit felt that pain. “I have chased this pain for five years,” she explains. “When I feel the adrenaline from my fans, I can fucking go. But it’s not like I’m not in pain.” The documentary shows Gaga bawling the day she is to sing for Tony Bennett’s 90th birthday due to hip pain, screaming into a pillow while her hip gets adjusted during a Super Bowl rehearsal, getting her makeup done while explaining to a doctor all the meds she has to take for the pain, and finally having a breakdown about possibly not being able to go through childbirth due to hip complications. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a more real moment (or moments) from a celebrity.

download.jpg

Super Bowl 51

Humble. Diva. Perfectionist. “Why is there a football game before the Lady Gaga show?” What word would you pick to describe the scenes involving Gaga and SB51? I pick the first and last. Early on you hear her repeating the words”thank you” as being chosen, plus she goes on to discuss the importance of the performance and how she thinks “it can’t get bigger than the Super Bowl.” But, we also see her being a bit demanding during the rehearsals. BECAUSE SHE’S A MOTHER F’ING PERFECTIONIST AND TRUE ARTIST!

“If I pick up the keytar and play the wrong note in front of 100 million people, that’s my fault,” she says. “It doesn’t matter that someone else screwed it up. It’s my name. I know to other people it’s just the lining of a jacket,” she explains. “But for me, it’s the way that the fabric on my outfit interacts with this fabric is going to change the speed of my arm as it enters the sleeve.”

She didn’t disappoint.

usp_nfl__super_bowl_li-new_england_patriots_vs_atl_88573318.jpg

Especially after seeing her live, I understand how each movement, breath, and note has to be calculated to make any performance the absolute best it can be. So if Gaga has to become a bit of a diva so the lining of the jacket helps her nail a performance, then gosh darn it FIX THE FREAKING LINING!

Final Thoughts

  • The parts where Gaga discusses her success intermixed with her failed relationships broke my heart; GAGA DESERVES LOVE
  • I was really shocked she smoked so much (just being a singer and all)
  • HOLY GAGA BOOBS at one point –> out by the pool, yeah, they were legit out
  • The slowed down, piano version of “Bad Romance” —— definiton of insanity!
  • SAY IT TO HER FACE MADONNA!
  • “I’m 30; I’m old to them” ugh girl me too!

Lastly…

In the doc, Lady Gaga describes her current style as black tees and jeans, yet worries fans will miss her outlandish style choices. Well this fan doesn’t miss it; this fan loves, adores, looks up to, and is inspired by this stripped down, real, emotional, open Lady Gaga. And I’m with her for years to come!

Top 5 Celebs … who made your list?

I feel like there are two of me: the blogger, tv analyzer, celeb obsessed MHH and then just Katy. When discussing Justin Timberlake headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show, it’s hard to decide if MHH or Katy should comment. Let me give you a bit of background…

A few years ago I remember my brother-in-law asking me (after a few drinks & movie debates; he’s good for that) who my “Top 5” were. I was all, “Is Top 5 a thing because I have no idea what you’re talking about…” He was basically  asking who were my top 5 favorite celebrities: the celebrities that can do no wrong, who I would continue to love throughout the end of time.

Image result for scratch my head gif

How does one even start to compose such a list? I love so many actors, singers, and celebrities I could make a list a mile long. But with the Timberlake announcement, I thought I’d put my Hollywood Hangover hat on the shelf for this post and blog to you as just Katy today.

Here is my top 5:

1. Justin Timberlake — 62.5 million people can’t be wrong…
Image result for justin timberlake nsync gif

I first learned of Justin Timberlake when *NSYNC performed the Disney Concert back in 1998 (someone not as lazy as me please fact check that) and from then on never faltered on my love for the boy band and especially for JT. I saw them in concert twice, and saw him solo once. I will not speak forever about my fandom for him because it runs DEEP and I won’t be blogging about his halftime performance either. Because, regardless of how it goes, I won’t have a single negative word to type; this man can not do a single thing wrong in my eyes. (And if you want to debate the Janet scandal find me on social media @katylouw8).

2. Britney Spears –55.7 million Twitter followers
Image result for britney spear gif

If JT is first on my list, then Queen B is obviously second. As much as I love Jessica Biel married to Timby, I was OBSESSED with these two as a couple. More so than that, I remember dancing around my bathroom with a hairbrush as a mic belting Britney at the top of my lungs. I remember watching every VMA performance thinking “Get it girl!” (minus 2007). I remember crying with her during the Diane Sawyer interview when her and Justin broke up. I remember feeling sick to my stomach when MTV had a breaking news special that she shaved her head &  I remember how proud I was of her during her Circus documentary when she commented on it.

Image result for britney spears what was i thinking

We cheer when celebs are up, we cheer even more when they are down, but we cheer the most when they have a successful comeback. I’m not sure any celebrity had a bigger comeback or turnaround than Ms. Spears. With a successful show in Vegas (which I saw three years ago and almost passed out from dancing so hard…), plus two beautiful sons, Britney is the goddess of the millennial generation.  (Also, who cares if she’s awkward? You’re not?)

3. Taylor Swift — 85.6 million Twitter followers
Image result for taylor swift gif

I know the old Taylor is dead and can’t come to the phone right now, but my love started with the old Taylor. I don’t care if you think she’s nuts, annoying, immature, or whatever other criticism one can conjure up about Taylor Swift; I think she’s great. Like JT and Britney, I’ve seen Taylor in concert and she seeps goodness out of her every pore. I think she genuinely cares about her fans and is going to “do her” no matter what anyone else thinks; that’s really really really hard to do in the world today, even if you’re not famous. Plus her music is so damn catchy and I just want to be her best friend. (She’s also pretty good friends with Timberlake; you should realize now it all comes back to Timberlake).

4. Andy Cohen — 2.18 million Twitter followers
Image result for andy cohen gif

Okay HERE we go, my loyal followers; someone you probs love (and if you don’t, then why are you following me? However, please don’t unsubscribe, in fact, tell your friends!). I love Andy for blessing us with all the Housewife shows, as well as more Bravo hits including Watch What Happens Live. In a day and age of transparency, Andy is great on social media, plus super honest in his two books. He’s been known multiple times to express his love for pop culture, which I relate to, but also love about him. I can’t fully explain to you what it is I love so much about Andy, but if you’re an Andy fan (Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Oprah, Pink) then you get it. He’s also a dog lover!

5. …..

My number five changes constantly. Currently it’s Spencer Pratt because I live for his Snapchats every day. He also loves commenting on celebrities and being honest on social media and I’m here. for. it!

Other names that have been tossed around for the number five spot of all-time can do no wrong celebrities include Kate Middleton, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, and Lauren Conrad (which is totes surprising seeing as I just posted a GIF of Spencer Pratt — never thought I’d see the day, seriously that’s how good his content is!).

Final thoughts….

Please do not unfollow, unsubscribe, or hate me if you don’t like my Top 5. Also, don’t come and argue with me about them either because it won’t change my mind. Remember, if you don’t agree with my Top 5 that’s fine. Because, I think that first time my brother-in-law brought up this “Top 5” debate, it was to make me think:  as a fan of someone, what is so special about him or her that you simply won’t debate it? Is it because you share that fandom with someone special? Is it because that celeb reminds you of your childhood? What doesn’t make you falter on your loyalty?

As mentioned, my thoughts on these people won’t change. However, I won’t force them down your throat either. Putting back on the Hollywood Hangover blogging hat, I’m open to hearing suggestions and opinions on all things celeb, good or bad. So I now ask you…who makes it onto your Top 5 favorite fame list?
